Star in the Sky

Sometimes simplicity really packs a punch! When I made this card I was working with the Christmas Classics set- still in that nostalgic, sentimental mood, but I wasn't all that inspired. Maybe because at 1:30 am I'm not at my best creatively, but I kept at it and combined the stamps with this new Cuttlebug folder I have. Once I embossed the front of the card, it seemed a shame to clutter it up with a lot of stamping, so I went with the star and the greeting, and well... I surprised myself with a really classy card. Simple, but classy. Even Rich (hubby) liked this one!

Here are the details:

  2. Cut a piece of Pacific Point 5 1/4 in x 4 in.
  3. Cut a piece of Bashful Blue 4 5/16 in x 5 1/2 in.
  4. Adhere Pacific Point to Bashful Blue piece.
  5. Adhere Card to Pacific Point. Set aside.
  6. Stamp the star from Christmas Classics on Whisper White with Pacific Point ink. Use blender pen to push the color around a little.
  7. Punch out with star punch then punch a small hole in center for brad. Insert brad.
  8. Mount star to card front with dimensionals.
  9. Stamp "merry christmas" greeting at the rise of the hill just below the houses.

Pretty simple right?
