Lemon Effervescence Bath Salts

These lemony-bright jars are probably going to be delivered by Santa later next month, but I wanted to share them here before I gave them all away. The tallest of the two is a Starbucks Frappachino bottle that I recycled into something much prettier. I found the Ball jars at Target on sale a month or two ago. Here are the supplies I used:
Stamps: Stitched Exotics, Fabulous Flowers, Frames with a Flourish
CS:Yo Yo Yellow, Whisper White, Yellow Plaid DP (ProvoCraft)
Accessories: ribbon - Michaels and Costco (part of a sampler pack), 1-1/2 in circle punch, Scallop circle punch, 3 in scallop circle punch, 1-1/4 in scallop circle punch, 2-way glue, glitter, gold cord
Containers: Ball pint jar, Starbucks Frappachino bottle
BATH SALTS
Both the jar and the bottle are filled with a homemade bath salt blend. I found several recipes on the internet, and took it from there. My final blend consists of: 1- 24oz container of sea salt, 4 cups of Epsom salt, 1/2 of a box of baking soda, 6-8 drops of yellow coloring, and 10-12 drops of lemon oil or lemongrass scented oil. The last two items can be found at Michaels or JoAnn with their soap and bath salt making supplies. The brand I used was Life of the Party.
Combine all the dry ingredients in a large zip-loc bag. Seal and shake to blend together. Open the bag and add the coloring and the scent. Seal the bag again and shake / squish everything together to blend completely. You want the color and the scent to be distributed as evenly as possible. Pour into your container of choice and enjoy!
