Orange Crush Daisy

Ready for a little trip down memory lane? Like, back to the 70s when these wild colors were "in"? I know I am dating myself, but I had a bedroom done in these colors once upon a time...

Upsy Daisy is another of my new sets just arrived, so of course, I put it together immediately and started stamping! The ribbon is from a big assortment I found at Costco a year or so ago and is really what decided the colors this time. The design of this card is REALLY simple, but I still think it turned out pretty snappy. The yellow daisies in the circle are glittered but the photo doesn't show it very well.

So here are the details:

Stamps: Upsy Daisy, Short & Sweet

CS: Only Orange, YoYo Yellow, Whisper White

Ink: Tangerine Tango, YoYo Yellow

Accessories: Scallop circle punch, ribbon, glitter, 2 way glue, 1 1/4 in circle punch

  1. Start with a 5.25 x 8 inch piece of Only Orange folded in half.
  2. With Tangerine Tango, stamp the daisies from Upsy Daisy on the lower portion of the card.
  3. With YoYo Yellow, stamp a portion of the daisies on a piece of Whisper White. Stamp sentiment from Short & Sweet in Tangerine Tango over the top of the daisies. Punch out with the circle punch.
  4. Punch a scallop circle from YoYo Yellow. Adhere the punched circle of daisies to the scallop circle.
  5. Using the 2-way glue pen apply glue to the yellow daisies on the punched circle and sprinkle with glitter.
  6. Cut a piece of ribbon approximately 16 inches long. Wrap the ribbon around the front of the card and tie the ends into a flat knot.
  7. Affix the scallop circle to the card front over the knot with dimensionals.

Groovy Baby!
