Happy Birthday Denny!

I made this card recently for a good friend of mine. He's familiar with my penchant for glitter, and shares (I'm reasonably sure) my son Josh's opinion of it but he was nice enough not to protest too much when I used it on his card. If you are curious, according to Josh, "Glitter, is the herpes of crafts". Nice kid huh? This is why, on every available opportunity, I scatter glitter on and around my son. He deserves every sparkle.

Anywhoo... The card is funny (well I thought so anyway) because inside it says "Just think, with every birthday you become more and more like your parents." You have to know his Mom to appreciate it I guess. At any rate, the stamps are from an acrylic set I have called Humorous Birthday by Inkadinkadoo.

Here are the rest of the details:

Card base is Tangerine Tango. I folded my piece of Jersey Shore DPover at the top so the back side shows. Over that I mounted two strips of Night of Navy that I trimmed with my scallop scissors. One a the top and another at the bottom. (Wishing I had that new scallop border punch!) The little lizard is stamped on Whisper White and watercolored with Tangerine Tango and Wild Wasabi. He is layered on Wild Wasabi and Night of Navy. Just before I mounted him on dimensionals I remembered I had these little metal bits and pieces - circles, squares, half circles etc that I picked up somewhere. Sorry, I can't remember who makes them. Anyway, I found two that matched, popped them on the corners of my little lizard guy and THEN I stuck him down. The glitter finished him off nicely I think!

Happy Birthday my friend!
